Maryland already has a loaded roster for next year, and now it has gotten even better with the commitment of 2018 combo guard Serrel Smith. Smith has also signed his letter of intent along with his commitment, so the verbal commitment is no longer.

A Florida native, Smith played at St. Petersburg High School and previously committed to Ole Miss, but after head coach Andy Kennedy decided to step down, Smith asked for his release. Smith will be joined by Jalen Smith, Aaron Wiggins, and Eric Ayala, all on the ESPN top 100 list.
Maryland still has some sorting out to due to senior Dion Wiley transferring and frosh center Bruno Fernando testing the NBA waters. He did not sign an agent, so it is possible that he can come back to Maryland. Still, with a Fernando return, the Terps will still need another big man with Michal Cekovsky leaving and Ivan Bender coming off of injury.
While that can definitely be sorted out later, but one thing is for sure and that is that Maryland will have a pretty loaded classes heading into the season. It might go as far them possibly being named one of the teams to win the regular season.
